We cordially invite you to Beseder Gallery for another in a series of great concerts by young, talented artists. This time we will welcome the star saxophonist Jure Pukl, who will be accompanied by the amazing pianist Kristina Barta with her group and the excellent singer Petra Brabencová.

The concert will take place on Sunday, November 17th at 7:00 pm.

Jure Pukl is one of Slovenia's most prolific and creative saxophonists, working primarily on the New York jazz scene. During his studies at Berklee College of Music in the USA, Pukl performed and recorded extensively, pursued his own projects, and also collaborated with many great musicians from different fields of music, such as Dave Liebman, Branford Marsalis, Esperanza Spalding, George Lewis, Maceo Parker, Vijay Iyer , Jeff "Tain" Watts, Gregory Hutchinson, Doug Hammond, Melissa Aldana, Rodney Green, Charles Altura, Joe Sanders, Aaron Goldberg, Marcus Gilmore, Johnathan Blake and many others. Kristina Barta, real name Kristýna Urbánková Bárta, is a Czech jazz pianist and composer whose music is an excellent example of modern European jazz, drawing on a unique blend of classical music and jazz's unplayed innovations. Barta began her musical journey as an oboist studying at the Jan Neruda Gymnasium and later took up piano and composition at the Academy of Performing Arts. She became a prominent member of the Euroradio Jazz Orchestra. Her music has also been heard by audiences all over Europe thanks to prestigious festivals such as the Montreux Jazz Festival, Jazzahead! and many others. Her talents have also been recognized in a number of prestigious awards, including first place in the 2016 Czech Republic Jazz Composers Competition, the final of the Euroradio Jazz Competition in the Netherlands, and an award for exceptional piano skills at the 2017 Powiew Młodego Jazz Festival in Poland. With two albums "EMA29" and "Love and Passion", Barta recently released her latest album "Endless Questions and Answers", in collaboration with world-renowned saxophonist Jure Pukl. Barta is currently working on several new albums not only for her quartet but also for the Czech Radio Symphony Orchestra in collaboration with guitarist David Dorůžka and saxophonist Jure Pukl. In 2024 she founded her own chamber jazz festival called Prague Impro Room.

Petra Brabencová is a jazz singer from Karlovy Vary who focuses on music and sharing it with her listeners without seeking fame. Her talent has taken her not only across the Czech Republic, but also beyond its borders, where she crosses genre boundaries and transports her audience into the magical world of music. In projects such as JazzFancies, Petra Brabencová Quartet or M.K. Collective, she explores a wide spectrum of modern popular music, from traditional jazz to fusion, neo-soul and hip-hop. He has long collaborated with the Karlovy Vary Symphony Orchestra and has participated in projects such as Soul Stars Symphony and George Gershwin Tribute in collaboration with saxophonist and arranger Milan Krajic. Her latest project "Box of Chocolates" focuses on pop covers in collaboration with leading Czech musicians, combining jazz style with popular melodies to create unique arrangements. In addition to her musical career, Petra is also a talented teacher and voice coach who helps aspiring singers develop their potential and vocal skills.
