Věra Roubalová Kostlánová

We invite you to a discussion with Věra Roubalová Kostlánová and the authors of the exhibition Paths to Miracles, Hana Alisa Omer and Ivan Bukovský.

Věra Roubalová Kostlánová is an important figure of Czech dissent, psychotherapy and social work. Her life story, marked by the Holocaust, political persecution and a lifelong struggle to help others, is an inspiration for all generations.

Věra Roubalová Kostlánová was born into a Jewish family that experienced tragic losses during World War II. She herself lived through the oppression of the communist regime - she was among the first signatories of Charter 77, helped to spread samizdat literature and faced years of surveillance by the State Security. After the Velvet Revolution, she dedicated her life to helping people in crisis situations - refugees, victims of war conflicts and families burdened by the transgenerational trauma of the Holocaust.

The discussion will be followed by a guided tour of the Paths to Miracles exhibition, which will be conducted by the authors themselves, Hana Alisa Omer and Ivan Bukovský, both of whom belong to the second generation after the Holocaust, under the baton of Ms. Roubalová Kostlánová.
