Music: DUO LEVITAS (Luboš Soukup and Christian Pabst)

On Sunday, October 27, at 4:00 pm, we will present a unique musical concert that is open to ... families with children.

The Levitas Duo, consisting of saxophonist Luboš Soukup and pianist Christian Pabst, will play for the first time not at the evening "jazz" time of day, but at an hour when children can also listen to the concert - at 4:00 pm.
This is a new concept that the musicians have brought to our gallery. They are both young parents and were inspired to come up with this idea by their desire to introduce their little ones to the beauty they themselves produce.
We realize that toddlers may not be able to listen to the entire concert. Therefore, a children's corner will be set up in the room next to the gallery with drawing materials and board games.

The Levitas Sunday afternoon concert is a great opportunity to not only enjoy world-class music, but also to share that enjoyment with the younger generation.

In addition to the prepared program, the musicians will improvise on one of the paintings presented in the exhibition, which they will choose at will. This idea was born as a natural realization of a long-standing dream of our team to combine two kinds of art - visual and musical.

About Levitas Duo.
Saxophonist Luboš Soukup, together with his long-time musical colleague, German pianist Christian Pabst, has prepared a completely new repertoire, which will be released as the album Levitas on the Czech label Animal Music. The duo plays mostly original repertoire and their creative goal is to play the pieces freely and to achieve the strongest possible interpretation of these works through improvisation. Levitas is mainly inspired by jazz music, but also folk and classical music. Their album was nominated for the Angel Award in the jazz music category. The musicians met almost ten years ago in Denmark.

In addition to their new album Levitas, the musicians have recorded two albums together, Through the Mirror (2013) and Earth (2017), which featured guest appearances by world-renowned guitarist Lionel Loeke.

Our Kolčavka brewery will be open during the concert on Sunday 27.10. - for adults only :).
The restaurant is not open on Sundays.
