Beseder Gallery

Date: 6.8. - 1.9.2024

We cordially invite you to the exhibition (NO)SENSE, which presents a selection of works from the latest production of 4 young female artists: Klára Korbelová, Anna Hrabýová, Anka Langová and Sara Beráková. The opening of the exhibition will take place on 6 August at 18:00. The curator of the exhibition is Ema Černá.

The artists deal with the question of the absurdity of solving artificially created problems and, last but not least, the search for solutions and transcending meaning.

To what extent does it still make sense and who determines it?

Sára Beráková

She graduated from the Secondary School of Arts and Crafts in Pilsen (major in Painting in Art) and is now studying at the Faculty of Education at the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen (major in Art Education with a focus on Education). In her work she expresses her own feelings, emotions and thoughts. The paintings reflect her herself, her inner self. She likes to work with the human figure, the symbolism of colours, and nature, which is a great inspiration for her, also plays an important role in her paintings. She tries to combine these elements in her work.

Anna Hrabýová

She comes from Plzeň and graduated from SUPŠ Zámeček Plzeň (Painting in Art, Design and Architecture). Now she is a 3rd year student of art education at the ZČU in Pilsen. She participated in several group exhibitions and organized one solo exhibition, which took place in Urbex in Pilsen. Some of the exhibitions were held under the auspices of the Pilsen cultural association Láskyplno, which supports young artists. Recently, the artist has been dealing a lot with the theme of the inner world and its processes, which she captures in her paintings using the human body and colours.

Klára Korbelová

She was born in Prague and has been painting since childhood. Her first guide to art was her teacher Martin Stanovský at the Lounské Elementary School. She then studied at the Václav Hollar Art School and then at the Academy of Fine Arts, in the Painting I studio under Prof. Robert Šalanda.

Anka Langová

She studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague in the Studio of Painting (Michael Rittstein, Josef Bolf and Jakub Hošek). The artist works with natural batik, acrylic, ink and inks, which she dilutes in various ways and lets soak into herself. Instead of classic canvases, she uses old textiles, which she stitches to the necessary dimensions. The atmosphere she captures gets out of Anna Langová's paintings and helps the viewer to become completely absorbed.
